Just South of Border Ave and Crestview Joshua Tree, CA 92252

Driving East, you take 62 to Sunburst, go North a mile or so and then take a right on Crestview. At the end of Crestview, the asphalt ends and you turn right on Border Road. The Kabin is about 2 “blocks” down a dirt road and you can park and walk from there.

Google maps will show Desert Trail and other parts of Border Road, but they require 4 Wheel Drive. We also recommend parking facing North (away from the Kabin) for an easier exit and less headlights on the Art Work when you leave.

ETIQUETTE and such

Please help us keep light pollution to a minimum by using headlamps only on red and only for safety as you approach the kabin. The less light, the better. This is a light installation, after all. NO flash photography or highbeams.

Remember -- You visit the Krblin Jihn Kabin at your own risk:

- NO water
- NO power
- NO bathroom facilities on site.

The last 2 “blocks" of Border Avenue are dirt road, so: park to side to leave space for others.

Once you've found a good spot under the stars, it takes about 30 minutes for your eyes to adjust to the darkness, so be sure to factor that extra chunk of time into your plans. Oh, and try not to look at your phone or other bright screens while you let your eyes adjust to the darkness. This is a great time to get comfortable, get your favorite stargazing snacks ready, and sit back in the grass to see as much of the sky as possible.

Because of the repetitive pulsating rhythms of the soundscape, people who are prone to seizures or epilepsy should either not participate in this exhibit or take precautions to block the sound. Be safe!! <3
